Beanies Needed for Soldiers
Snappy Tots is starting their 4th season of collecting crocheted & knitted beanies for active duty military personnel stationed overseas, from Aug. 15 - April 15. Please consider taking part in this simple project — making a beanie doesn’t take much time & a skein of yarn is less than $4.00. Details on the Snappy Tots site page. Thanks, Heidi!!
( »> Note: ANY pattern, knit or crochet, may be used. For convenience, there is a free basic, very simple crochet pattern available on Ravelry. )
In appreciation, & just because she’s that kind of gal, Heidi of Snappy Tots will give you a Snappy pattern of choice for each package of beanies you send to help offset your mailing cost to the main gathering point. Isn’t she a peach? ;-)
If you can knit or crochet, please consider giving a little time & a skein or two or yarn to those who are sacrificing so much, so far away from home. Thanks for taking the time to read this. ~ bohemienne
With all the back to school shopping going on, I’ve been working 24/7 this month, giving me no time to crochet AT ALL :(
Uh-oh. I need about 5 more bags of stuffing just to fill it!
I’m back in my groove
Aka I’m bringing stuff in the car to work again
I got inspired for an idea on what to do with what I DID get done on my mood blanket since I quit in May.
Hopefully I come out loving it like I’m feeling I will!
I finished a sunglasses case since I scratch every pair I ever own
I haven’t even started on flyer ideas for the club cause I have no idea what it should look like or say on it :(
A girl I know from highschool and a friend of hers are interested in starting that crochet club! so we were going to make flyers and put them up on the boards around campus to see if anyone will reply!
We just need 5 more people and a sponsor until we can start the process of making our club!!
I wish I could start a crochet club on campus, but I haven’t even made one friend the entire year I’ve already been going there. :c
I finished a trio of bear wallets !
